The street namkeen culture of Bombay runs deep. In the lanes of Dadar, Chembur, and the old chawls of the city, namkeen shops would build their own house blend of sev and dal, no two alike. The Bambai Mixture is that spirit in a pack: brash, layered, impossible to stop at one fistful.
Ours is made with the proportions that give you a different bite every time, crisp sev, a roasted peanut, a faint tartness from kokum cutting through the heat. The chivda holds the whole thing together, softening slightly so every mouthful has texture contrast rather than uniform crunch. No palm oil. No artificial colours or flavours. Just the real thing, made the way the city taught it.
Best with chai in the evening. Also brilliant scattered over poha or curd for a textured topping, or mixed with roasted makhana for a trail mix that actually has personality.
Shelf life: 120 days from manufacture. Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened, best consumed within 2 weeks for maximum texture.
